This home is a single-story, 5,400 square foot, stucco and clay tile roof with outrigger rafter tails. The design included several skylights to flood the interior spaces of the home with natural light. Since these would be seen from the front, we chose to disguise them within “chimney” structures which matched the other fireplace chimneys. The interior design included wide walls, piers, arches, and multiple layers of bullnose corner bead. The master bedroom included floor-to-ceiling corner windows which were glazed with sand glass to provide privacy without window coverings. The floor plan has a 21-degree angle between the left and right sides of the house which creates interesting vistas within the house.
