Colonial Home Large Expansion and Huge Front Porch

This 15-year old home was built in a development of similar colonial style homes. The clients wished to add a significant addition to the rear of the home by increasing the kitchen, dining, and other family living spaces.

Since a new in-ground pool with landscape features was to be added, we designed the new spaces with an orientation to these soon to be realized outdoor spaces. Also included in the additions were an expansion to the master suite and other bedrooms as well as a game room space over the existing garage which was connected to the first floor by a new staircase.

The clients wished to modify the front of the home to give it a bit more character – the addition of a 10’ wide porch across the front of the house provided ample room for furniture providing the owners with an outdoor living space to welcome guests to their home through this leisure space.
