Park Ave and 89th St NYC Co-Op Remodel

In 2001, one of our clients in NJ approached us and told us that they had purchased a co-op unit on the corner of 89th and Park Avenue in New York City. This very desirable location is 2 blocks east of Central Park. The building was old and the apartment hadn’t been touched in years. The space consisted of approximately 2,500 S.F. and the entire unit needed a re-do. Most of the rooms remained in the same locations, however, a den was repurposed to become a formal dining room and the master bedroom was reconfigured to provide his and her bathrooms. The end result consisted of a large foyer served by a private elevator, a La Cornu kitchen, a formal dining room, a large living room with several sitting areas, the master bedroom with his and her baths and a separate guest suite. Custom millwork was designed for every room in the unit and this apartment served as a summer second home for our clients until they decided to upgrade to a larger apartment down the road in 2013.
